In-Person Early Voting

For the November 6, 2018, General Election (Election Authority only)

Starting October 22, 2018, Early voting will move from Election Authority office up to the 2nd Floor in a designated area in the Cafeteria.

  • First day – Thursday, September 27, 2018 (40th day prior to an election)
  • Last day – Monday, November 5, 2018 (1 day prior to an election)

For the November 6, 2018, General Election (locations throughout DuPage County)

  • First day – Monday, October 22, 2018 (15th day prior to an election)
  • Last day – Monday, November 5, 2018 (1 day prior to an election)

Early Voting Frequently Asked Questions

In-Person Early Voting Process

Election workers verify the voter’s registration status through a central database at the DuPage County Election Commission. If the voter is not registered, they must register at the appropriate area in the location.

Once validated, the database is updated (preventing the voter from voting at another location). The voter is allowed to cast a ballot using an ATM-like touchscreen device. The vote will be tabulated once the polls close on Election Day.

Vote by Mail

Any eligible DuPage County registered voter may Vote by Mail beginning 40 days prior to an Election.  Please contact our office for verification of availability.

To Vote By Mail


  • Obtain an official Vote by Mail Ballot Application by:
  • After receiving the Vote by Mail Ballot Application, complete and return it to the Election Commission as soon as possible.
  • When available, your ballot will be mailed upon receipt of the completed application.

The last day to mail a ballot to a voter is the Thursday (5 days) prior to the election.

Voted ballot must be postmarked no later than Election day in order to be counted.
